Become head chef for a very special little customer!!

Introducing baby's first foods can be so much fun...Once you are satisfied that your baby is ready, then it's time to put on your chef's hat and get cooking baby's first foods....and don't forget your sense of humour! You'll need it!

If you'd like to make your own breakfast for baby, then try this baby cereal recipe which is both wholesome and easy to prepare.

Wholesome Rice Cereal
2 oz brown rice powder
8 fl oz water
a little formula/breastmilk

1) To make the rice powder, grind brown rice in a blender or food processor.
You can use white rice if you prefer, but brown rice is more nutritious.

2) Bring the water to a boil.

3) Add the rice powder and stirring constantly.

4) Simmer for about 10 minutes (don't forget to keep stirring, or the rice will stick).

5) Then stir in enough formula or breastmilk to give the consistency that's best for your baby.

Once baby has been introduced to fruit, you could always add a little of his favourite puree.

Although commercially prepared rice cereal is convenient, making your own is easy and far more nutritious! Gud Luck Mommies!!
